It’s just too hot. The coldbox we have in the window is only on in the late afternoon, and even then, it’s too hot. The coolest place in the house is in front of the fire hole in the wall, on that cool black tile. But after three whiles the tile gets too hot, so I have to move to the front hall. That’s annoying, because I’ll doze off to sleep, and someone will come or go, and I’ll get woken up and have to move. Then there’s the kitchen, but people are always walking in there; the only cool place after the front hall is under the computer desk. That is a wood floor, which heats up quickly.
So all day, these days, I change between the firehole, the front hall and the computerdesk. I just wish the coldbox would be colder.
